We had a super great weekend.  Uncle Scott and Aunt Courtney were sealed in the temple and we got to spend the whole weekend with family.  My brother Stephens family wasn't there, we missed them.

REALLY!!! In this day and age!

I heard cafepress.com had some awful items for sale which were hurtful to another human being (little people).  I investigated myself......  This morning I typed in "midget" (I even hate typing that word) and it brought up pages of degrading items for sale.  So I sent them a strongly worded email.......here is the email I sent them this am.   "I am shocked.  How is it that in 2013 you have items for sale that are degrading to little people.  "midget tossing"?  awful!!  I don't see anything promoting slavery!  Or using a handicapped person for your personal humor.  No other items are so hurtful and rude to another individual.  As a mother of a little person I would have hoped this kind of product would never had made it to your shelves out of common decency.  I will be sharing this with everyone I know and I assure you they will not shop at your store ever!!!  I mean who buys these? certainly no one you'd want to take to family dinner!  I am very disappointed!"  I am happy to say they removed them all!!!  every last page.  I can't believe it takes hundreds of emails to have this kind of stuff off the shelves.  welcome to 2013 cafepress!!!!

We were busy this week.  My sister was at girls camp so we had Taylor and Bella during the day.  We tried to keep busy so there wasn't any fighting and it seemed to work!!

 

Here is Lexie and swim lessons.  The reward after working hard is jumping off the diving board.  A boy ahead of her was like 8 and he was so scared!  He wouldn't do it so they asked him to move aside to let Lexie go and she did it 3 times without a worry!  She noticed the big kid was having trouble and thought it was weird that she wasn't afraid.  We had a conversation about people being different and how maybe he's not afraid of spiders and she is.  What's scary to one person may not be to another.  Great learning moment.

Our Cousin graduated from 8th grade with honors.  Way to go Christian!!

We had a great time this week!!

Lexie had so much fun at her dance recital.  I was so proud of her, she was scared at the beginning but we talked about working through those fears and following through with our commitments.  It was amazing.  I actually cried the first show cause I was so proud.  the second show we watched it in the audience and Maddie LOVED it.  we were in the front row so there was space between us and the stage and Maddie danced the whole show.   she thought she was in the program, and many people told me they enjoyed her dancing a lot.  Over all it was a great experience and Lexie loved the make up and costume, it's enough to come back next dance season.

Preschool

 

Lexie got to go to 2 preschools this year, her favorite was teacher Melissa.  It was more academic and she was excited every Monday and Wednesday to  go.  She had actual tears on the last day of school.  Thanks teacher Melissa, you are amazing!

Pre School is over

 

Lexie has been going to the same preschool for 2 years now, she loves teacher Lori and Brandy.  she's made lots of friends and always loved going.  This is the last day picnic we had at the park.
